For my job, I have to change the IP address of my computer freguently, sometimes several times daily. Doing this using the Windows GUI is cumbersome. In an attempt to save time and effort, I did some research and discovered the Windows   netsh.exe   command. Being an old DOS guy, I wrote a series of BAT commands and have created the following ZIP files containing them. Download the ZIP and extract them to your desktop. Most of them will run as icons. Example.. Click the icon on your desktop called DHCP.BAT and restore your ethernet connection to DHCP that quickly. But you'll also see   ChangeIP.BAT   that is a pretty powerful BAT command that will allow you to change IP, mask, gateway, DNS at will from a command prompt, bypassing the Win GUI. Must be run from a command prompt, not as an icon. Simply open a command prompt and run it and you will see a help screen with sample usages. You can also open it with notepad for additonal help info in the REMarks. Note.. the syntax changes with different versions of Windows. We now have a version for WWTS Windows Tablet. NOTE .. may have to run as administrator
